Boran Craig Barber Engel Construction Co. Inc. partners with Habitat for Humanity in Naples Manor
Boran Craig Barber Engel Construction Co, Inc. a leader in general contracting for 30 years in Southwest Florida, has partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Collier and the Tanis family to build a Habitat home in Naples Manor. Straining to make ends meet, the Tanis family often struggled to put dinner on the table and keep a roof over their heads. Through the partnership with BCBE and Habitat, Inel and Almonise Tanis achieved their dream of providing adequate, safe shelter where their children can flourish and follow their educational pursuits breaking the cycle of poverty they once found themselves in.
Habitat for Humanity of Collier County will be dedicating 6 homes on Saturday, January 19th at 10:00 a.m. located at 5341 Jennings Street in Naples Manor which will include the BCBE/Tanis home.
Habitat for Humanity of Collier County has helped 1,000 families move into safe, decent homes since 1978. Still, there is a desperate need for affordable homes for low-wage earning families. Qualifying applicants are legal residents of the United States, living and working in Collier County for more than a year and have demonstrated a need for safe, affordable shelter, an ability to repay the interest free mortgage and a willingness to partner with Habitat through the contribution of 500 hours of sweat equity.
Having celebrated the wall-raising on the 1,000th Habitat home in Collier County, the next goal is to build 1,000 homes in just seven years. In order to accomplish this ambitious goal, it will take everyone finding their place within the Habitat story: on the construction site, as a Family Services volunteer, in the Habitat Home Store, or as a donor.
Habitat for Humanity of Collier County is one of the oldest and largest producing Habitat affiliates in the nation.
