30th Anniversary Open House Celebration
Thanks to the support of generous donors and volunteers, Habitat for Humanity of Collier County, founded in 1978, has become one of the most successful Habitat affiliates in the world. In our first 30 years, we have helped change the lives of more than 5,000 people who now live in more than 1,000 “simple, decent homes” in Naples and Immokalee. To celebrate our 30th anniversary, we will be hosting an Open House on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at our office located at 11145 Tamiami Trail East in Naples from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend this event recognizing our success with a historic photo tour, volunteer appreciation, bus tours through our communities, Habitat home dedications at noon in Trail Ridge, family presentations and information on how you can be a part of this tremendous mission to end poverty housing. Qualifying applicants are legal residents of the United States, living and working in Collier County for more than a year and have demonstrated a need for safe, affordable shelter, an ability to repay the interest free mortgage and a willingness to partner with Habitat through the contribution of 500 hours of sweat equity.
Habitat for Humanity of Collier County is one of the oldest and largest producing Habitat affiliates in the nation. The local organization has built more than 100 homes a year for the past 6 years, making it Collier County’s leading provider of affordable, owner occupied homes.
