Habitat for Humanity of Collier County, Inc. (hereinafter, “Habitat”) is looking for general contractors to perform construction rehabilitation (hereinafter, “Improvements”) of owner-occupied homes within the jurisdiction of Collier County pursuant to the State Housing Initiatives Partnership Program (SHIP) Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program (hereinafter,“Program”). Prospective general contractors must complete a Contractor Bid Form (hereinafter, “Bid”), providing a quoted price for each item listed on said Bid. Bids will be accepted on an “on-going” basis for each owner-occupied home until completion of the program. Upon reception of the required bids, Habitat will enter into a contract for improvements with the lowest, responsive and qualified bidder. Prospective general contractors must provide original certificates indicating that they have Completed Value Builder’s Risk Insurance on an “All Risk” basis in an amount not less than one hundred (100%) percent of the insurable value of the building(s) or structure(s) to be rehabilitated. The policy shall be in the name of Collier County and Habitat.
