Habitat for Humanity of Collier County is pleased to announce that The League Club has awarded the organization a $10,000 grant to pay for the building of bedrooms in Immokalee homes. The grant will help Habitat Collier build bedrooms for Immokalee’s children, providing them with safe places to sleep, study and grow up.

The League Club is made up faithful supporters of Habitat’s work in Collier County. They understand the need to provide safe, stable housing for children in our community. When children are living in overcrowded, often sub-standard conditions they suffer in many ways, from health to educational challenges. In Habitat home bedrooms, children can find quiet spaces and privacy to study. This allows youngsters to thrive in their environment and succeed at life. A recent study showed that students living in Habitat homes score higher in reading and math than children who don’t have safe, stable place to live and study. … http://www.naplesnews.com/ugc/news-ugc/the-league-club-helps-fund-kids-bedrooms-in-immokalee-habitat-homes_103056
