What is YAMM?
The Young Adult Missional Movement is to identify, recognize, gather & encourage all expressions of young adults in missional service in the Florida Conference. This is a yearlong program for young adults to experience the love of God by building cooperative living, meaningful work & community engagement. YAMM provide support in the way of coaching, encouraging and connecting young adults together, to prevent mistakes, exchange best practices, support spiritual development and facilitate reflection, action and growth. Applications are available online or by mail. Submit them as soon as possible for best match to potential placements. Program starts at the end of August. Each house moves in on different days. Current students may participate as long as they can adequately plan for time commitments and fulfill work expectations at placement site. House teams are often incredibly diverse in age, gender, education, theological background and orientation.

Habitat for Humanity of Collier County in Naples Florida is one of just two Habitat affiliates to reach the milestone of building 2,000 homes, and has built an average of 100 homes per year for the last 15 years, with 120 homes projected for fiscal year 2017. With two vastly different office locations, one in a growing city (Naples, FL) known for its affluence and the other in one of the country’s most important agricultural centers (Immokalee, FL), Habitat Collier offers a unique and fast-paced experience. The need for affordable housing in Collier County continues to grow, with 20 families inquiring for every home built. You will see firsthand the difficulty that the local workforce encounters on their search for affordable housing, and the untenable conditions they often find themselves in as a result. With a 39-year history and more than 2,000 partner families, you will also witness the difference that an affordable home makes in the lives of those families at all stages of partnership, from pre-approval interviews to final mortgage payments. In your off hours, there’s plenty to enjoy for nature lovers and city-dwellers alike. Spend time on one of our many beaches, including nearby Sanibel Island and Barefoot Beach, which both routinely top various “best beaches” lists. Explore our beautiful rivers and canals by kayak or paddleboard, or get closer to our native wildlife on various preserves and wilderness trails. For those who prefer to stay closer to the city, visit our famous 5th Avenue complete with theater, art galleries, fine dining and shopping or make a weekend trip to nearby Miami or Tampa. Habitat for Humanity of Collier County, Inc. is looking for a full-time Family Services Support (YAMM). All interested candidates must contact Heidi Aspinwall with the above contact information to apply for any YAMM position. This is an opportunity to develop professional skills in an office environment while assisting low income families with their shelter needs. The best candidate for this position will have strong communication and interpersonal skills (Bilingual Required, Trilingual highly desirable). They will also be adaptive, flexible, energetic, and motivated. We are looking for someone that wants to work side by side with us to accomplish our mission, while also gaining essential work experience and professional development.
Assist with front desk reception
Assist with processing homeowner mortgage and related payments
Assist with applicant inquiries, homeowner applications and preparation of S.H.I.P., SHOP and Impact Fee Deferral documents
Assist with data entry into the Family Services database
Assist with document filing
Assist with Family Services acidities and events, i.e. Home Visits, Selection Committee, Classes, Orientation Meetings, Closings, Dedications, and Community Outreach.
Assist with Homeowner needs and Habitat neighborhood Homeowner Associations (HOAs)
Assist with volunteers at the office, at job sites and at special events
Other projects and duties as assigned
High School Diploma required, higher degree desirable
