Gifts of Stock
Thank you for your interest in supporting Habitat for Humanity of Collier County through a stock donation. Appreciated securities are perhaps the most cost-effective assets to use in making a gift. When you transfer ownership of long-term holdings to Habitat Collier, you receive a charitable deduction for their full market value — and you incur no capital gains tax (subject to IRS deduction limits).
Because electronic transfers are made without identifying the donor, please alert us in advance about the stock and number of shares you plan to give. You can do so by contacting our Chief Development Officer, Jenn Pash, by clicking the button below to send an email or by calling (239) 775-0036.
Will I get a receipt?
A donation receipt will be sent to you at the email address you provide on the donation form. Please be sure to keep a copy of your receipt for tax purposes. If you select a recurring donation, you’ll get a receipt each time your donation is processed.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes! Habitat Collier is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, make sure to keep your email receipt as your official record.
