On Saturday, August 29th, seven local congregations came together for an Ecumenical Concert at Mayflower Congregational Church to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Collier County. Thank you to all who attended and helped to raise $3,500 for Habitat Collier. That money will be matched dollar for dollar through our Congregational Matching Challenge – doubling the impact it will have on the life of a family struggling in poverty housing.
“I think it’s going to be all religious music, but I’m not positive about that. We’ll leave that up to (the performers,)” said the Rev. Alan Coe, the pastor at Mayflower. “It’s kind of to showcase the talent that we have right here.” Reported in the Naples Daily News, read more here.
Our gratitude goes out to our partner churches: First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, Lely Presbyterian Church, Mayflower Congregational United Church of Christ, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Shepherd of the Glades Lutheran Church and Unity Church. Special thanks to all of the wonderful performers who shared their talents with us: Mr. John Davis, Ms. Jodie DeSalvo, Dr. Taylor Ferranti, Ms. Linda Matthews, Simply Faith, Three for All and special guest & Habitat homeowner, Trixid Nova.
